This article provides a review of the four different TaylorMade golf balls.
Here is a summary of the TaylorMade golf balls we reviewed.
One of the aspects that promote success in golf is picking the right ball for you. The right ball may determine the speed it will take and many other factors.
Recap of How to Pick the Right Golf Balls
- Avoid using balls that are worn or scuffed but consider a ball fitting. The advantage it offers over other balls without this characteristic can’t be quantified, however, it’s likely to provide the extra feel, control or distance. These aspects could save you that one shot per round that could be very significant.
- Most pros utilize a golf ball with a urethane cover. Urethane is considered the best material for a golf ball. TP5 balls and new project (a) TaylorMade balls have the urethane covers.
- The feel of a ball is also very important. The feel is dependent on your personal preference. In the past, it was at times difficult to get a ball with the right feel and provide the extra distance. But, in recent years, we can get a ball that will deliver the extra distance and the great feel too. You, therefore, don’t have to give up the distance just because of the feel.
Four types of TaylorMade golf balls to Play
This TaylorMade golf ball cover is made of Ionomer. It has an interesting soft feel and a considerable driver distance. You aren’t forced to sacrifice between feel and extra distance, they are offered by this ball. The Ionomer cover improves control and feels during the golf course.
It has a Dual-Distance Core that decreases its overall compression to provide a soft feel. Rebound and speed are maintained at the same time.
The compression of the ball is 60, which is 10 less compared to the TaylorMade Project (a). This dual-Distance Core is a system with two layers. The inner core is large and has low compression to reduce unwanted driver spin while still provide the incredible feel. The outer core is made of a soft-resilient polymer that maintains the high velocities of the ball and improves the feel.
The high lift 342LDP dimple pattern of TaylorMade is utilized in Project(S). When this pattern is combined with the lower backspin construction, it offers more distance by reducing drag during the ball’s flight. The above two-piece construction provides more speed that is required by average players.
This TaylorMade golf ball cover is made of Urethane. It has a three-layer design that combines both the new Dual-Distance core and a new 322LDP dimple pattern that is seamless. This design maintains the excellent feel and greenside control while increasing the driving distance. There is less drag resulting in more speed and extra distance.
The dual design’s inner core is larger and osfter.it provides a great feel and eliminates unwanted spin. The outer core is stiffer providing more rebound and velocity. It also assists in pinching the soft cast cover between the clubface; hence a more greenside spin is provided. More layers mean you will get more performance from the golf ball.
These TaylorMade golf balls have urethane cover. Interestingly, this ball has a five-layer construction that is aimed at providing more speed with affecting the spin performance negatively. There are three inner layers where the inner core has low compression, the outer core, and the mantle are stiffer. When combined, they provide more velocity and lower spin.
The five-layer ball construction includes a Tri-Fast Core to reduce drag and increase energy; and a Dual Spin Cover that has a very soft and durable urethane cover. The ball also features a Speed- Layer system that has four stiff layers to increase the speed of the ball. This provides more control of the wind and more carry distance off the tee.
These TaylorMade golf balls have a Urethane cover as well. It also has a five-layer construction. The three-inner layers have an inner core with low compression, an outer core, and mantle that are stiffer.
They are combined to provide more velocity and create a lower spin. The feeling of TP5X is firmer than that of TP5. Seven to eight yards off the driver are added compared to those of the TP5.
This ball provides the best in overall control and wind performance. The five-layer ball construction includes a Tri-Fast Core to reduce drag and increase energy; and a Dual Spin Cover that has a very soft and durable urethane cover. It also has a low drag to provide the extra distance.
The ball also features a Speed- Layer system that has four stiff layers to increase the speed of the ball. This provides more control of the wind and more carry distance off the tee.
Whether you are an amateur or a pro, TaylorMade golf balls will work well for you. You will enjoy an extra distance, more control on the golf course, straighter flights and many more. You can’t resist their outstanding performance. Interestingly, they can be customized with a picture, company logo or name.
